G3 STUDIO
Curtis Roth
The Master Project Studio is the culminating Studio of the Knowlton
Master of Architecture sequence. It is taught in coordination with the Master
Project Seminar. The Master Project Studio is focused on speculative design
research that explores topical disciplinary problems. Each project is intended
to address the current period of rapid disciplinary development precipitated by
massive global and cultural transformations that have challenged conventions of
practice and research.
The goal of the Master Project is for each student to demonstrate critical and representational expertise in the production of a topical project that highlights salient contemporary issues in architecture. The goal of the Master Project research track is to create speculative research that explores the boundary of the conventional notion of the discipline and reconfigures the nature of architecture itself.
